.
Beaches:
Connemara is blessed with sandy, secluded beaches, many of which are ideal for swimmers, and others like Dunlochan (near Ballyconneely) attract surfers. Just up the road from Clifden you will find Cleggan and its local sandy beach, Sellerna, and just a few minutes away from there is the fascinating and historic tidal island of Omey – at low tide you can drive or walk across!
